SCAM artist alert

Apparently there is someone calling themself "Luigi Calloway" out there who is claiming to be associated with the Mount TBR Reading Challenge. He is contacting authors and telling them if they pay him, then their books will be used for the challenge. It's possible he's also telling people they must pay to participate in any way. Please know that there is absolutely no charge associated in any way with this reading challenge and that this person does not represent me or anything associated with my blog. There will NEVER be a reason for anyone to have to pay for participation in any way for any of my challenges. If only people who exert this much time and effort on scamming people would put it into something worthwhile....like reading their own books!

Friday 56

The Friday 56 is a bookish meme hosted by Storytime with Tonya.

*Grab the book nearest you. Right now.
*Turn to page 56 & Find the fifth sentence.
*Post that sentence (plus one or two others if you like) along with these instructions on your blog or (if you do not have your own blog) in the comments section below.
*Post a link along with your post back to this blog and Storytime with Tonya.
*Don't dig for your favorite book, the coolest, most intellecutal. Use the CLOSEST.

Here's mine from my current read The Bohemian Girl by Kennethe Cameron:

Denton considered taking Mr. Plumb by his revers and lifting him off the floor. However, at that moment, a detective walked in and showed his credentials, and Denton backed off a step and said, "Is this about Number 14 Millman Street?"

The detective, who was young and clearly afraid he didn't project enough authority, rapped out, "Who're you?"

***For those, like me, who had no idea what "revers" are--they are lapels.
