Secret Santa Presents

I have been remiss.  Christina, my awesome Secret Santa for the 2nd year in a row (what are the odds?), got my goodies to me in record time (December 9th!) and while I thanked her via email, I haven't posted about her excellent Secret Santa skills.  She not only sent me three delightful books (pictured below), but she also managed to find a wonderful beaver Christmas ornament for my tree!  Thank you, Christina!  Check out Christina's blog, You Book Me All Night Long.

The Broke & the Bookish Secret Santa

Jamie over at The Broke and the Bookish has announced their third annual "A Broke and Bookish Secret Santa"--a lovely little Secret Santa exchange for the bookishly inclined. I love participating in this and playing Santa for a fellow book lover. Not to mention waiting to see what goodies will show up in my mailbox.

It's meant to be low key and fun...and not to put too much strain on the wallet. And, of course, I've signed up (who can resist the chance to get a new book or two at Christmas? Not me!) Saturday Snapshot & Secret Santa

Saturday Snapshot is a meme hosted by Alyce at At Home with Books. All you have to do is "post a photo that you (or a friend or family member) have taken and then leave a direct link to your post in the Mr. Linky on [her] blog. Photos can be old or new, and be of anything as long as they are clean and appropriate for all eyes to see. How much detail you give is up to you." Secret Santa: Present Bonanza!

So, back in November Jamie & company over at The Broke and the Bookish announced that we could participate in this year's Secret Santa. I had so much fun with it last year that I signed right up again. I sent my package out to my Secret Santa friend on December 3rd (hope it got there safely!!!)....and guess what arrived in MY mailbox today. Yep--my Secret Santa package. Sheila Gallagher is an angel....or a devil. I'm not sure which.

You see, she sent me an amazingly heavy box stuffed full of wrapped goodies. That makes her an angel. BUT she also numbered the presents and sent a little instruction sheet with the gifts. She has put me on my honor to follow the "Twelve Days of Christmas" gift opening instructions....starting December 26th!!! Which means that I have to have this pile of goodies




staring at me for Eleven. More. Days. That makes her a devil. I don't know if I can stand it. But, Sheila, I promise I'll be a good girl and wait till the 26th. After all, Santa is watching me. :-)
