SCAM artist alert

Apparently there is someone calling themself "Luigi Calloway" out there who is claiming to be associated with the Mount TBR Reading Challenge. He is contacting authors and telling them if they pay him, then their books will be used for the challenge. It's possible he's also telling people they must pay to participate in any way. Please know that there is absolutely no charge associated in any way with this reading challenge and that this person does not represent me or anything associated with my blog. There will NEVER be a reason for anyone to have to pay for participation in any way for any of my challenges. If only people who exert this much time and effort on scamming people would put it into something worthwhile....like reading their own books!

Secret Santa Exchange 2012

Well, the stores have had bits of Christmas out on the shelves since well before Halloween, and now that it's November it's time to start thinking about Christmas.  And that means that it's also time for

Jamie over at The Broke and the Bookish has announced their third annual "A Broke and Bookish Secret Santa"--a lovely little Secret Santa exchange for the bookishly inclined. I was beginning to wonder when I'd see a post go up. Last year was so much fun.  My awesome Secret Santa, Sheila Gallagher, sent me the Twelve Days After Christmas present bonanza.  I can't wait to see what happens this year!

It's meant to be low key and fun...and not to put too much strain on the wallet. And, of course, I've signed up (who can resist the chance to get a new book or two at Christmas? Not me!) If you're interested, hop on the Broke and the Bookish link above and check out the full guidelines. Participants may sign up until November 17th and will receive info on their partner for the exchange in the next week. Sound like fun? Come join us!
