Top Ten Tuesday: Authors I'd Die to Meet

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created over at The Broke and the Bookish. Today Top Ten participants are asked to share the Top Ten Authors We'd Die To Meet.

Well, I'm not sure I'd be willing to die to meet them...but I wouldn't mind hopping on a plane or into a time machine (whichever might be needed) to meet up with the following...

1. Dorothy L Sayers
2. C. S. Lewis
3. David Lodge
4. Jane Austen
5. Kerry Greenwood
6. Ray Bradbury
7. Robert Silverberg
8. Edna St. Vincent Millay
9. Katherine Anne Porter
10. Rainer Maria Rilke

How did I forget C.S. Lewis? GREAT choice! But at least we both included Jane Austen. I'll bet everyone does.

When my brother and his wife got married, I read a poem by Rainer Maria Rilke. :)

Dorothy Sayers is a good choice too. You think she'd want to talk religion instead of Peter Wimsey?

I purposely left off Arthur Conan Doyle because of his attitude towards Holmes.....sniff! Ha!

I wonder if it is too late to modify my list and add C. S. Lewis, too. He is definitely an author I'd love to talk with.

Here's my Top Twenty-Seven Authors I'd Love to Meet (Sorry, I Couldn't Stop at Ten). I hope you will stop by. Also, don't forget to enter my July Giveaway.

Okay, I went back to my blog to add Lewis and discovered I already had him on this list! That's what you get when you have such a long list!

Wonderful list. Definitely agree with you on Austen and Bradbury. I can't believe I forgot to add Millay and Rilke to my list. I bet they would be amazing.

Of course CS Lewis! It's funny how lists like this always jog my memory for some really great authors and books.

Great list!

*face palm* How did I forget Ray Bradbury? I have a book by David Lodge on my bookshelf, but haven't gotten around to reading it yet. I'll have to move it up the to be read list.

Great choices! I wish I'd thought about Lewis. Most of my choices would need a time machine as well, but hey, this is about imagination not reality :)
