MizB of Should Be Reading hosts Teaser Tuesdays. Anyone can play along. Just do the following:
*Grab your current read.*Open to a random page.
*Share two "teaser" sentences from somewhere on that page.
Here's mine from The Pianist in the Dark by Michéle Halberstadt (p.1):
She doesn't know the color of the sky or the shape of the clouds, doesn't know the meaning of blue or red,or dark or pale. She lives in blackness. This is the word they have given to what she describes.
I decided to go with the first few lines...they are what drew me in when I spied this on the "New Arrivals" shelf at the library...

Sounds really good, I'm assuming she is blind? I have a blind brother and he can play. His sense of tone is fantastic. I will check this one out!
Ooh, sounds interesting! I love books and piano, but I'm not sure I've ever read a book about a pianist, surprisingly. I'll have to check this one out.
Very intriguing. I always love your teasers - so very reflective!
Have a terrific Thanksgiving!!!
