Miz B of Should Be Reading hosts Teaser Tuesdays. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
*Grab your current read.
*Open to a random page.
*Share two "teaser" sentences from somewhere on that page.
* BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (You don't want to ruin the book for others!)
*Share the title & author too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR lists if they like your teaser!
Here's a teaser from my current read, Sherlock Holmes & the War of the Worlds by Manly W. Wellman & Wade Wellman:
"Gentlemen, the regular army has tried to fight and was hopelessly defeated." he reminded them. "The invaders saw at once how we gave battle and brought that sort of resistance to less than nothing."

Is this a new Sherlock Holmes mystery? Or putting Holmes in a different scenario? I am duly teased.
My teaser is here: http://teabagsinfusion.blogspot.com/2010/10/teaser-tuesday-october-19.html
This is an "old" new Holmes mystery. The Wellmans first wrote the sections of the books as a series of short "articles" in the 1970s and then put them all together in book form. Titan books has just recently released some of these 1960 & 1970 "new" Holmes mysteries.
Oooh pulled from one of the oldies well done. The teaser cracks me up in the straight forward "you messed up" tone. My TT: http://www.rundpinne.com/2010/10/teaser-tuesdays-voltaires-calligrapher.html
Interesting! I've never heard of these stories before, but they sound really intriguing. Like those old 1940s movies with Sherlock Holmes involved in World War II. Great teaser!
Great teaser!
