SCAM artist alert

Apparently there is someone calling themself "Luigi Calloway" out there who is claiming to be associated with the Mount TBR Reading Challenge. He is contacting authors and telling them if they pay him, then their books will be used for the challenge. It's possible he's also telling people they must pay to participate in any way. Please know that there is absolutely no charge associated in any way with this reading challenge and that this person does not represent me or anything associated with my blog. There will NEVER be a reason for anyone to have to pay for participation in any way for any of my challenges. If only people who exert this much time and effort on scamming people would put it into something worthwhile....like reading their own books!

The Very Hungry Caterpillar: Candle #6

Just got The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle from the library today. I had no idea that this children's book had been around as long as I have. I haven't read it since my son was small (about 14-15 years ago), but decided to add this to Birth Year Reading Challeng list when I couldn't find the book of poetry that was on the Wikipedia list for books of 1969.

Of course, this was a quick read--but it was fun. Just to enjoy the pictures and the brief story of a caterpillar becoming a butterfly. And to remember the days when my son was still small enough to fit on my lap and have his mom read to him.
