WWW: Wednesdays

WWW: Wednesdays which is hosted by MizB ofver at Should Be Reading. This is a weekly meme that I have been participating in for over a year now.

To play along just answer the following three questions....

*What are you currently reading?
*What did you just recently finish reading?
*What do you think you'll read next?

Current:
Northranger Abbey by Jane Austen: It's heroine is Catherine Morland, the mistakenly invited guest at an isolated, and quite mysterious, country manor. There the charming young husband-seeker falls in love with the young man of the house--but quickly comes to suspect him of lurid deeds worthy of her favorite Gothic novels. Before Catherine's difficulties are resolved, we witness the romantic chase in all its prescribed ritual, and its prime motivations: ambition, pleasure, greed, power, self-interest...love.

Read Since the Last WWW: Wednesday (click titles for reviews):
The Caravaggio Books by Bernard Peterson
The Lost Art of Reading: Why Books Matter in a Distracted Time by David L Ulin
The Vanishing Act of Esme Lennox by Maggie O'Farrel

Up Next:
The House of Paper by Carlos Maria Dominguez
The Secret of Lost Things: A Novel by Sheridan Hay
The Savage Garden by Mark Mills
Oscar Wilde & the Vampire Murders by Gyles Brandreth
Seven Gothic Tales by Isak Dinesen

I did read Northanger Abbey last year. It wasn't my favorite Jane Austen book, but nevertheless I did enjoy reading it. I found it a bit different than her other books. My favorite is "Emma" by Jane Austen.

@Gigi Ann: Now, see, "Emma" is my least favorite Austen so far. Read it earlier this year and hated it. My favorite is "Persuasion."

I went and bought a bunch of Jane Austen's awhile back, when all the mash ups came out, figuring I needed to read up on what was being parodied so I could enjoy it more. Haven't managed to read any of them yet! Someday...

Here is my WWW if you'd like to visit!
