SCAM artist alert

Apparently there is someone calling themself "Luigi Calloway" out there who is claiming to be associated with the Mount TBR Reading Challenge. He is contacting authors and telling them if they pay him, then their books will be used for the challenge. It's possible he's also telling people they must pay to participate in any way. Please know that there is absolutely no charge associated in any way with this reading challenge and that this person does not represent me or anything associated with my blog. There will NEVER be a reason for anyone to have to pay for participation in any way for any of my challenges. If only people who exert this much time and effort on scamming people would put it into something worthwhile....like reading their own books!

Teaser Tuesdays

MizB of Should Be Reading hosts Teaser Tuesdays. Anyone can play along. Just do the following:

*Grab your current read.Link*Open to a random page.
*Share two "teaser" sentences from somewhere on that page.

*BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! You don't want to ruin the book for others.
*Share the title and author too, so other TT participants can add it to their TBR lists if they like your teaser.

Here's mine from Satan's Circus: Murder, Vice, Police Corruption, and New York's Trial of the Century by Mike Dash (p. 116):

From that date on, he vented his anger even more volcanically on anyone in range. The mayor might, on a good day, be sweet-natured and reasonable. For the most part, though--as the Sun observed--he "fought without gloves, he liked to swat; he was more than a 'good hater,' he was a pitiless scorner of many; and he turned not the other cheek but the other fist to those who assailed him."

Wow, that's a powerful teaser...Doesn't sound like someone whose bad side you'd want to get on!
