2018 Ngaio Marsh Challenge Ngaio Marsh is one of the 'Big Four,' Golden Age authors, who include Dorothy L. Sayers, Agatha Christie and Margery Allingham. In 2018 the group on Goodreads intends to read the first 12 of her mystery novels, featuring her detective, Roderick Alleyn. Ngaio Marsh is not as well known to many mystery readers, as perhaps Christie or Sayers, so it will be nice to discover (for some of us) a new series.

For me, the challenge offers the chance to revisit the books I discovered back in high school and that I haven't read since I checked out every one I could find at the local library. I'd been thinking about revisiting the early Marsh books for quite some time and this gives me the added push to start in 2018.
