Here's mine from North & South by Elizabeth Gaskell (p. 31):
Mystery Lover...but overall a very eclectic reader. Will read everything from the classics to historical fiction. Biography to essays. Not into horror or much into YA. If you would like me to review a book, then please see my stated review policy BEFORE emailing me. Please Note: This is a book blog. It is not a platform for advertising. Please do NOT contact me to ask that I promote your NON-book websites or products. Thank you.
Sorry folks, but I have been getting an incredible amount of spam. I have adjusted my settings and all messages will be moderated from now on. If that does not take care of the problem then I will have to go to the "Prove You're Not a Robot" thing--which I hate as much as you do.
If your name does not appear automatically, please tell me your name in the comment. Otherwise you will just show up as "Unknown." Thanks!
Sounds like an interesting idea...forgetting what is painful. Unfortunately, those things resurface at unfortunate times!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing, and here's MY TUESDAY MEMES POST
The title on that on caught me. Thanks for visiting.
ReplyDeleteActually, doesn't someone find the painful things harder to forget than the more pleasant things? Great teaser. My teasers this week are from The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater and Once Burned by Jeaniene Frost. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteHope you are enjoying the book as much as I did!
ReplyDeleteThings are always easier said than done. Thanks for sharing. My teaser is here.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds very stilted and formal. Hope that's just one of the characters, although it doesn't bother me in Jane Austen novels. Here's Mine
ReplyDeleteThis makes me want to re-read this :)
ReplyDeleteHope you're enjoying it!
And here's my Teaser Tuesday
Great teaser!
ReplyDeleteHi! Thanks for the visit to my blog!
ReplyDeleteGreat teaser! I feel the exact same way sometimes. Forgetting something painful or unpleasant is easier said than done.
