Teaser Tuesdays

Miz B of Should Be Reading hosts Teaser Tuesdays. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

*Grab your current read.
*Open to a random page.
*Share two "teaser" sentences from somewhere on that page.
*BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! You don't want to ruin the book for others.
*Share the title & author too, so other TT participants can add the book to their TBR lists if they like your teaser!

Here's my teaser from Our Lady of the Lost and Found by Diane Schoemperlen (p. 97):

As I tried to sift through and make some sense of all this material, it became more and more obvious to me that the whole story has not, cannot, will never be told. It also became clear to me that the whole story, the real story, and the true story are not always the same thing.

Sorry folks, but I have been getting an incredible amount of spam. I have adjusted my settings and all messages will be moderated from now on. If that does not take care of the problem then I will have to go to the "Prove You're Not a Robot" thing--which I hate as much as you do.

If your name does not appear automatically, please tell me your name in the comment. Otherwise you will just show up as "Unknown." Thanks!
