  1. I submit The Mystery of Marie Rogêt by Edgar Allan Poe (1842) for Serial Killers. Published in 1842, prior to the conventional pulp era, but serialized in three issues of Snowden's Ladies' Companion.

  2. I must say the fellow on the cover of The Man With the Clubfoot looks more like Groucho Marx than a German Master Spy. Or perhaps that is his disguise.

  3. Rick: A slightly chubby Groucho Marx.... :-)

  4. I submit The Big Shot (Frank L. Packard) for International Detectives. Although set in New York City, the amateur detective is a Canadian woman.

Sorry folks, but I have been getting an incredible amount of spam. I have adjusted my settings and all messages will be moderated from now on. If that does not take care of the problem then I will have to go to the "Prove You're Not a Robot" thing--which I hate as much as you do.

If your name does not appear automatically, please tell me your name in the comment. Otherwise you will just show up as "Unknown." Thanks!
