Challenge Complete: R.I.P. XII

I finished up the first R.I.P. Reading Event (R.eaders I.mbibing P.eril) hosted by  Heather and Andi, who took over from Carl over at Stainless Steel Droppings. I always enjoy getting a little spooky this time of year and the R.I.P. Event allows me to do that without scaring myself silly.
 

The purpose of the R.I.P. Challenge is to enjoy books that could be classified as:

Mystery.

Suspense.

Thriller.

Dark Fantasy.

Gothic.

Horror.

Supernatural.

I generally focus on the Mystery part, rather than the Horror part (being a bit of a scaredy-cat), though I did read one really good creepy book of short stories by Adam McOmber. Here's what I did for the challenge...

Peril the First:
