Sorry folks, but I have been getting an incredible amount of spam. I have adjusted my settings and all messages will be moderated from now on. If that does not take care of the problem then I will have to go to the "Prove You're Not a Robot" thing--which I hate as much as you do.
If your name does not appear automatically, please tell me your name in the comment. Otherwise you will just show up as "Unknown." Thanks!
Hi Bev
ReplyDeleteHope you are well have just finished Derek Smith 'Come to Paddington Fair' for the book set in the world of entertainment (theatre). Highly recommended crazy to think that this couldn't find a publisher in its day. An interesting follow up to 'Whistle Up the Devil' and an intriguing impossible crime problem! Great stuff and a shame he didn't write more. Regards
Clint
Sounds like a good one! I haven't read any by Derek Smith yet...must change that as soon as possible.
ReplyDeleteHi Bev,
ReplyDeleteThe new Derek Smith omnibus makes both his novels more accessible for readers. Whistle up the Devil is a great impossible murder novel.
I have just finished ECR Lorac Fell Murder - I particularly like the Lune valley novels for their rural setting and description of the Fells. This completes the square with a place in the title!
Great job, CS!
