Mystery Lover...but overall a very eclectic reader. Will read everything from the classics to historical fiction. Biography to essays. Not into horror or much into YA. If you would like me to review a book, then please see my stated review policy BEFORE emailing me. Please Note: This is a book blog. It is not a platform for advertising. Please do NOT contact me to ask that I promote your NON-book websites or products. Thank you.

Sorry folks, but I have been getting an incredible amount of spam. I have adjusted my settings and all messages will be moderated from now on. If that does not take care of the problem then I will have to go to the "Prove You're Not a Robot" thing--which I hate as much as you do.
If your name does not appear automatically, please tell me your name in the comment. Otherwise you will just show up as "Unknown." Thanks!
Hello Bev! Having finished George Bellairs - Death treads softly (and having posted it in the wrong place) I have now finished my second book on the Golden card - Michael Innes ' There came both mist and snow'. Very similar in the main idea to a famous Anthony Berkeley title (which I will not mention in order not to give anything away). The Berkeley was better although this was pretty good -not as good as 'Lament to a Maker' or ' Hamlet, Revenge' but far better than Operation Pax which I did not like! This completes the country house square.
ReplyDeleteMoving right along, CS! Congrats on your second square.
ReplyDeleteI haven't managed to post individual reviews yet for the books I have read this month but I have posted an update for the month :)
ReplyDeleteI am really enjoyed this challenge!
I have managed two books for the golden card and six for the silver.
January Update
Glad you're having a good time with it, Alex!
