Adam from Roof Beam Reader is once again checking up on us to see how we're doing on our TBR Pile books so far this year. So far, I've read eleven books from the main list plus one of my alternates. Technically, I suppose that means I've managed to read my twelve....but I always make an effort to read all the books on the original list plus both alternates, so I'm definitely not done yet.
The big news this month is that I've FINALLY finished The Age of Innocence. I was beginning to think that wasn't going to happen. After all, I started the thing back in May. Victory at last!

Wow, great job! You're 2 ahead of me. And you're right, you're technically done! And it's only August! Glad to hear that you're going all the way, though -good luck!
ReplyDeleteI'm impressed--you are a dedicated TBR tackler! I really enjoyed Age of Innocence, and I think it's the kind of book that is best when read slowly. The writing is so beautiful that I think you miss the impact of it if the novel is raced through. It's on my reread list for sometime in the next couple of years.
