November Wrap-Up and Pick of the Month

Onward in my monthly statisic-gathering and a combo post with Kerrie's Crime Fiction Pick of the Month over at Mysteries in Paradise.

Yikes!  Reading numbers down again....must pick up the pace if I'm going to complete all the challenges this year.  Keep reading, Bev. Keep reading!  So....here we go, November's number look like this:

Total Books Read: 8
Total Pages:  1,973

Percentage by Female Authors:  56%
Percentage by US Authors:  38%

Percentage by non-US/non-British Authors:  13%
Percentage Mystery: 100%
Percentage Fiction: 100%
Percentage written 2000+: 25%
Percentage of Rereads: 0%
Percentage Read for Challenges: 100% {It's eas
y to have every book count for a challenge when you sign up for as many as I do.}

Number of Challenges fulfilled so far: 30 (81%)

AND, as mentioned above, Kerrie is sponsoring a meme for those of us who track our reading. What she's looking for is our Top Mystery Read for each month.  This month all 8 of the books I read count as mysteries.  The highest rating earned was four stars and that went to both Catch as Catch Can by Frances & Richard Lockridge and Slowly, Slowly in the Wind, a collection of short stories by Patricia Highsmith.  If I have to pick a single winner, then the Pick of the Month for November is Slowly, Slowly in the Wind (click for review)--Highsmith's thrilling, memorable, and just a bit creepy collection.

Sorry folks, but I have been getting an incredible amount of spam. I have adjusted my settings and all messages will be moderated from now on. If that does not take care of the problem then I will have to go to the "Prove You're Not a Robot" thing--which I hate as much as you do.

If your name does not appear automatically, please tell me your name in the comment. Otherwise you will just show up as "Unknown." Thanks!
