Sorry folks, but I have been getting an incredible amount of spam. I have adjusted my settings and all messages will be moderated from now on. If that does not take care of the problem then I will have to go to the "Prove You're Not a Robot" thing--which I hate as much as you do.
If your name does not appear automatically, please tell me your name in the comment. Otherwise you will just show up as "Unknown." Thanks!
Awe cute! Your photo brings me back to the days when I was Brownie in the 70's. The wonder days indeed.
ReplyDeletehow cute! Ah, Brownies... the memories... Book Savvy Babe
ReplyDeleteIt makes me smile to see this photo!
ReplyDeleteI do love those blasts from the past...I've done my share of scanning photos from the 70s, too.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing...and for visiting my blog.
Nice picture. Our girls wore dark brown uniforms as Brownies and royal blue for Girl Guides. I could look up one of those pics and scan it for another week.
ReplyDeleteThat is awesome! I love how some of those pants almost look like bell bottoms. :)
ReplyDeleteGosh, when I was a Brownie, a very long time ago indeed, we wore dark brown dresses and yellow ties, which were triangular and had to be folded and tied, with a proper reef knot - not a granny as I usually did! My Snapshot is at http://goo.gl/CQuKI
ReplyDeleteBrownies grow up to be Girl Scouts and future community leaders. It's true.
ReplyDeleteNice memories.
So cute! I've also got a picture like that around here somewhere. I've been rather nostalgic for the 70s lately too.
ReplyDeleteAhhh. Brownies was good times. Here's Mine
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely piece of family history.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it funny how we now use hipstamatic on our smart phones to create the same yellow/brown vintage tinge to our modern photos!!
That is so cute. My daughter is a Brownie, but just has this term before she has to leave. I must get a photo of her with her friends.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this precious photo. It must be great having your mom as your leader. Fond memories must be. Lovely photos.
ReplyDeleteAw, you all look so cute!
ReplyDeleteOrdinary Words... I was a Brownie leader for my daughter....enjoyed it and have many great memories♫♪
ReplyDeleteA nice blast from the past! I remember Brownies! Such fun.
ReplyDeleteI was going to say this looks like about the time my daughter was a Brownie - 1981 or so:) sweet
ReplyDeleteMy sister was a brownie in the '70s and the guides after that. You don't seem to see much of them these days, although I did buy a box of minty girl guide cookies today from a young guide in the grocery store. Thanks for visiting my snapshot earlier.
ReplyDeleteAs this was loading I saw brownies and thought of the edible kind! Cute photo, must be lots of memories for you.
ReplyDeleteLove it! We grew up around the same time and my brownie uniform was very similar. In fact, I looked an awful lot like the second girl from the left in the front row!
ReplyDeleteYes, I admit, I too thought mmmmmmmmmmm brownies. But you are cute.
ReplyDeleteOh, I remember those days! I did the brownie/girl scout thing too. I'm not sure if any photos of my brownie days are still around but I remember the uniform looked similar to yours.
ReplyDeleteToo cute! I was in brownies/Girl Guides in Canada - uniforms looked different, of course, but they're still recognizable.
