Many thanks to Man of la Book for hosting this interesting challenge. I had a great time reading all of the classic novels which inspired the graphic novel The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen,
written by Alan Moore and illustrated by Kevin O'Neill. [In fact, truth be told, I had a much better time reading all the books behind the story than I did with the graphic novel. But, then, graphic novels aren't my thing, so mileage may vary.]
This graphic novel takes several famous (and
not-so-famous) literary characters and mixes them up together for an
adventure of a lifetime. Man of la Book thought it would be fun to read those
classic novels and then the graphic novel to see how the creators
managed to take such classics and mix them up all together. If that

This sounds like a fun challenge. I've seen the movie version of The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen and didn't find it very entertaining, but I do like Alan Moore's graphic novels, so I'd give that a try.
