Yesterday the Hubby & I went to the annual Historical Society Museum Garage Sale. They hold this in a huge warehouse and have several tables of books (along with all the other stuff that I totally pass by in my book-homing-pigeon-like state). It's not quite as big a deal as the Red Cross Book Sale in the Fall--but for a spring book fling, it'll do. Bottom line: I came away with 13 books including 3 of the little pocket-size books that I love and The Penguin Pool Murder by Stuart Palmer which I've been wanting to get my hands on for a long time. Here's the total haul--I wish I could say these were all vintage, hardback, first editions....but I'll take what I can find.

What a haul, Bev! I hope you're going to review all the Innes books. Sarah Caudwell is a favorite of mine. Too bad she died so young.
ReplyDeleteI have a small mountain of just Michael Innes in my TBR mountain range. I may just have to set up a Michael Innes Reading Challenge just to get that stack whittled down.
ReplyDeleteI read Caudwell's The Shortest Way to Hades last year and really enjoyed it, so I couldn't resist this one when I found it.
Appleby's Other Story sounds very interesting.
