Saturday Snapshot: May 5
About this time of year in 2004, my son was preparing for his class's annual "Country Fair." England was his country of choice and here he is with his model of Stonehenge.

Sorry folks, but I have been getting an incredible amount of spam. I have adjusted my settings and all messages will be moderated from now on. If that does not take care of the problem then I will have to go to the "Prove You're Not a Robot" thing--which I hate as much as you do.
If your name does not appear automatically, please tell me your name in the comment. Otherwise you will just show up as "Unknown." Thanks!
your son is so handsome and wow what a project to produce!
ReplyDeleteYes, the Country Fair was quite involved. They had a choice of various things to display and produce to show their knowledge of the country (he did the model, a replica flag, a picture collage--behind him, a map--to the right, a timeline of British history, and various reports).
ReplyDeleteHeh, that's pretty cool. He looks quite pleased with his finished product :)
ReplyDeleteThat looks great!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a fantastic model of stonehenge!
ReplyDeleteSuper project! (and your secret is safe with me!)
ReplyDeletePretty good model. Hope he got an A+!
ReplyDeleteWhat a good job he did. Bet that was an interesting project. Lots of lore about Stonehenge.
ReplyDeleteVery nice job and cute photo.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was still teaching, these were the types of units/projects that I loved to see the kids work on ... their excitement and creativity was always so exciting for me to see. That is some 3-d of Stonehenge!
ReplyDeleteHe looks so proud. My daughter recently attempted the same thing, but with dominoes, oh, and she was 19.
ReplyDeleteAh, what an awesome project...your son looks very pleased with his outcome, and he should be!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing...and for visiting my blog.
That seems like a big project - good for him! I have always wanted to visit Stonehenge!
ReplyDeleteThat's a cool project for a country fair. I want to visit Stonehenge one day!
ReplyDeleteStonehenge, excellent choice. Hope he got an "A"!
ReplyDeleteGreat choice. I've always been fascinated by Stonehenge and the ancient people's knowledge of astronomy.
ReplyDeleteCool project, handsome son!
ReplyDeleteYour son has wonderful taste in choosing England--and that's a very impressive model!
ReplyDeleteGotta love that huge smile on his face. He should be very proud because that's a very cool Stonehenge model!
ReplyDeleteVery clever project. He looks rightfully proud of his effort. Wonderful pic to hang onto!
ReplyDelete:)
Stonehenge always reminds me of a favorite book of mine, Hardy's Tess of the D'Urbervilles.
ReplyDeleteLooks like your son has made a fine demonstration of that place of mystery!
