Saturday Snapshot: November 5
These were taken in November 2005 at Turkey Run State Park. Turkey Run is one of my all-time favorites. There are some incredible hikes through the stone canyons.

Sorry folks, but I have been getting an incredible amount of spam. I have adjusted my settings and all messages will be moderated from now on. If that does not take care of the problem then I will have to go to the "Prove You're Not a Robot" thing--which I hate as much as you do.
If your name does not appear automatically, please tell me your name in the comment. Otherwise you will just show up as "Unknown." Thanks!
My kids would love that bridge!
ReplyDeleteThose look like fun hikes!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a good place to go hiking. I really like that bridge.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure I'd like to cross that bridge, although it doesn't look as high as a similar bridge we once saw over the Fraser River in British Columbia. I couldn't do it.
ReplyDeleteOh wow! Places like that are so cool. I love to float along that river in a canoe, too.
ReplyDeleteThat is one thing I miss in the city - no easy access to hiking. The closest we have is Central Park.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots! I love that bridge...thanks for sharing, and for visiting my blog.
ReplyDeleteA bridge over a canyon sounds like great fun. Thanks for sharing. Here's My Saturday Snapshot
ReplyDeleteThe bridge is marvelous! Very engaging Fall scenes.
ReplyDelete:)
This is lovely. Where is it located?
ReplyDelete@Diane: Turkey Run State Park is in Indiana. West of Indianapolis.
ReplyDeleteI bet that's really beautiful in the spring and summer. Great pictures!
ReplyDeleteOh, Bev, you make me homesick for an Indiana autumn with your pictures. And BTW, I visited your Victory Garden, and I just LOVE the comic book cover! That's awesome.
ReplyDelete@Lisa: It is pretty in summer and spring too. But I'm a fall girl myself. Love the fall leaves.
ReplyDelete@JNCL: Yes, autumn here in Indiana is a beautiful thing. I was pretty taken with the comic book too--closest I could get to books in the garden. :-)
Wow that's beautiful! It looks like the scenery here in West Virginia =)
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice area, I love the bridge!
ReplyDeleteI love those hikes over tall bridges. I'll have to get down there one of these days.
ReplyDeleteNice photos! It looks like a wonderful place to visit. I love the bridge.
ReplyDeleteThat does like a fun place to hide! I'm all about bridges in the middle of hikes. Makes it more fun.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a beautiful place to visit. Does the bridge move when you walk on it?.
ReplyDelete@Edgar: It is a bit bouncy...but not too much movement. They have it cabled down pretty good.
ReplyDeletegorgeous!! I would love to visit there and walk on that bridge!
