Saturday Snapshot: September 3
Saturday Snapshot is a meme hosted by Alyce at At Home with Books. All you have to do is "post a photo that you (or a friend or family member) have taken and then leave a direct link to your post in the Mr. Linky on [her] blog. Photos can be old or new, and be of anything as long as they are clean and appropriate for all eyes to see. How much detail you give is up to you." All she asks is that you don't just post random photos that you find online. (Click pictures for close-ups.)
Just took these this morning. My co-worker and her sisters flew over my house in this lovely hot air balloon. She just knocked off one of her bucket list items.

Sorry folks, but I have been getting an incredible amount of spam. I have adjusted my settings and all messages will be moderated from now on. If that does not take care of the problem then I will have to go to the "Prove You're Not a Robot" thing--which I hate as much as you do.
If your name does not appear automatically, please tell me your name in the comment. Otherwise you will just show up as "Unknown." Thanks!
Terrific photos. It looks like a perfect day for a hot air balloon ride. Not here though. Too humid, plus, because it's the start of college football season, airplanes are flying around with banners behind them.

Oh, that looks like fun. I've always wanted to do that.
ReplyDeleteShe's braver than I am!
ReplyDeleteHot air balloons always look so lovely hanging in the sky like that, but, really, I don't think I could ever go up in one.
ReplyDeleteThat is so cool that she did it and that she flew over your house! They have hot air balloons at our airport for a festival at the end of September every year and we always miss seeing them somehow.
ReplyDeleteLovely.
ReplyDeleteSeeing hot air balloons is magical, tho, I would not want to ride in one having a fear of heights
have a good weekend

Enjoyed looking at the photograph!
ReplyDeleteHere is my Saturday Snapshot post!
Yikes!! Landing in a tree!! Great pix--such a clear sky! My mother liked to ride in hot air balloons too -- with the champagne afterwards!

ReplyDeleteGreat shots. In 2000 we went to Albuquerque, NM for the Balloon Fiesta - a fabulous event.
ReplyDeleteI'm with Trish. Although they look beautiful floating through the sky, I don't know if I could actually go up in one.
ReplyDeleteFun! Although those baskets look so flimsy!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos, love the colors! What an awesome idea ... makes me wonder if I could convince my 3 sisters to go up in a hot air balloon with me someday.
ReplyDeleteThat is SO cool! I love that she is waving to you
ReplyDeleteThat looks like fun. One of these days I'd like to do it.
ReplyDeleteIt look like fun from the ground. Even though I'm tall, heights scare me. LOL
ReplyDeleteI'm not a fan of flying...not even balloons, but they do look gorgeous! Thanks for sharing...and for visiting my blog.
ReplyDeleteI love seeing balloons in the sky. Don't know if I am brave enough to go up in one though. Did you friend enjoy it?
ReplyDelete@Jill: I think so. I'll get the full scoop from her at work on Tuesday.
ReplyDeletenice!
ReplyDeleteHow fun! I don't know if I could do that...I am a little squeamish about heights.
ReplyDeleteWow, just like the Wizard of Oz!
ReplyDeleteI love hot air balloons. Looking at them, anyway. You'd never get me up in one, but I do like to see other people enjoying them.
I have alllllllllways wanted to go in one of those.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot!
