Saturday Snapshot: September 3

Saturday Snapshot is a meme hosted by Alyce at At Home with Books. All you have to do is "post a photo that you (or a friend or family member) have taken and then leave a direct link to your post in the Mr. Linky on [her] blog. Photos can be old or new, and be of anything as long as they are clean and appropriate for all eyes to see. How much detail you give is up to you." All she asks is that you don't just post random photos that you find online. (Click pictures for close-ups.)

Just took these this morning. My co-worker and her sisters flew over my house in this lovely hot air balloon. She just knocked off one of her bucket list items.

  1. Terrific photos. It looks like a perfect day for a hot air balloon ride. Not here though. Too humid, plus, because it's the start of college football season, airplanes are flying around with banners behind them.

  3. Hot air balloons always look so lovely hanging in the sky like that, but, really, I don't think I could ever go up in one.

  4. That is so cool that she did it and that she flew over your house! They have hot air balloons at our airport for a festival at the end of September every year and we always miss seeing them somehow.

  5. Lovely.

Seeing hot air balloons is magical, tho, I would not want to ride in one having a fear of heights

    have a good weekend

  7. Yikes!! Landing in a tree!! Great pix--such a clear sky! My mother liked to ride in hot air balloons too -- with the champagne afterwards!

  10. Great shots. In 2000 we went to Albuquerque, NM for the Balloon Fiesta - a fabulous event.

  11. I'm with Trish. Although they look beautiful floating through the sky, I don't know if I could actually go up in one.

  16. It look like fun from the ground. Even though I'm tall, heights scare me. LOL

  21. Wow, just like the Wizard of Oz!

I love hot air balloons. Looking at them, anyway. You'd never get me up in one, but I do like to see other people enjoying them.
