Booking Through Thursday: Night Owl?

Booking ThroughThursday
Question:
What’s the latest you’ve ever stayed up reading a book? Is staying up late reading a usual thing for you?

The latest I ever stayed up reading? 4 am. But I was a lot younger and not working full time then. Once in a while I'll find myself reading until 1 am now, but I try to make that on a weekend.

One story on this topic: About two months after we were married, my husband headed to bed at, say 10 pm, and asked me if I was coming too. I told him that I'd just be a minute..."I'm just at the good part." Next thing I knew it was 2 am. He's never let me forget that.

  1. hmmm...should or can I ask...Did he give up on waiting? lol

I remember those days, or should I say, nights when I could also read until the wee hours. But you said the key word "younger".

  2. @CMash: Yep, he gave up. He asked me the next morning how late I was up. I didn't want to tell him...but I don't like to lie.....

  3. I am retired so if I choose to stay up and read into the wee small hours of the morning I can, but I try to go to bed at 11 o'clock each night, then if I can't fall asleep I get up and read for an hour or two.

    Thanks for your visit today.

  4. Being an adult and working late does get in the way of fun, doesn't it?

  5. I used to be able to stay up late and read, but not anymore. I tend to fall asleep when I'm reading or not remember what I'm reading.

Sorry folks, but I have been getting an incredible amount of spam. I have adjusted my settings and all messages will be moderated from now on. If that does not take care of the problem then I will have to go to the "Prove You're Not a Robot" thing--which I hate as much as you do.

If your name does not appear automatically, please tell me your name in the comment. Otherwise you will just show up as "Unknown." Thanks!
