4 Things That Are In My Handbag
-Notebook for jotting down clever little quotes from my current read.
-My hairdresser's "I'm moving" card with all her info. 'Cuz, hey, you never know when you might need an emergency hair cut.
-Chop sticks. An extra set that the folks at the Chinese restaurant gave me today (disposable wooden kind...). 'Cuz, hey, you never know when you might have the urge for some emergency Chinese food.
-Board games (up in the closet)
-Handmade quilt made by my mom.
-Clock radio/cd player--that didn't do such an awesome job of waking up my sleepy self this morning. Slept straight through it playing for about half an hour.
4 Things On My Desk:
-My very first stuffed beaver (from my mom). See further reference to beavers below.
-A Non Sequitur page-a-day calendar. I love that comic!
-A really cool pen holder cup that looks like it has hard-back books going all around it.
4 Things I've Always Wanted To Do (but haven't yet):
-Publish my book (yes, I'm writing one--a mystery novel)
-Go to the Grand Canyon (on my way to California to see my best friend, Paula)
-Take dancing lessons (ballroom-type)
4 Things I Enjoy Very Much At the Moment
-Reading! (of course)
-Looking at the fall colors
-The smell of the leaves in the air
-Bubble baths (it's a stressful time of year in the English Dept where I work...Calgon, take me away!)
4 Songs I Can't Get Out Of My Head:
Luckily, I don't have any stuck in my head at the moment. Here are some favorites instead...
-You Go to My Head by Rod Stewart
-Body & Soul by Sheena Easton
-Bewitched, Bothered & Bewildered by the Ella Fitzgerald
-Just about anything by the Beatles
-I've sung with the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir twice.
-I play softball with our English Department co-ed softball team. Just call me "Slugger" (not)
-I once judged a boxing match. (When I was 9...at Silver Dollar City before it became Dollywood)
All that glistens could be old

I'm terrible at doing these things but enjoyed reading your answers. And what an interesting meaning to your name!
ReplyDeleteAnd I hope to one day be reading YOUR mystery novel and writing a review!
Fun. Thanks for playing!

Hi, Bev. This was a great post! And very informative (beavers, huh?). Thanks for thinking of me - I'm not great at passing these things on, but I love doing lists!
